Bueno Burrito is such a great dinner, but Bueno Burrito Sauce makes it even better – it’s a little heat with a little kick – try it!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 small white onion
  • 1/2 cup of sliced jalapeños and diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of flour

First, melt the butter in a small sauce pan on low. Add the onions and cook on medium for about 5 minutes. Add in the sliced jalapeños (I use the ones that are in a jar and soft already – I find they have more flavour, but you can try fresh if you like!). After about 3 minutes, add in the diced tomatoes. Let the sauce cook on medium for about 3 more minutes. Then add the flour to thicken.

Just after you add the flour, pour the sauce in a food processor – I use our Vitamix, which works super well. Once blended, serve up!

You can keep this sauce in the refrigerator for about a week. Also, we eat it hot and cold, it totally depends on what you like.

Eat it up – it’s so good it’ll become a refrigerator regular!
