Recipe: Jammy Eggs

  • 4 free range eggs
  • 5 cups of cold water
  • 2 cups of ice
  • 5 cups of cold water (yes, again)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  1. First, fill a pot with 5 cups of cold water.
  2. Then, gently spoon in the eggs.
  3. Add in the salt and bring to a boil. Keep in mind that different altitudes, climate and all that cause slight discrepancies in the boiling time - you might need to tweak this recipe for where you live.
  4. While the water is heating up to a boil get a bowl and fill it with the other 5 cups of cold water and the 2 cups of ice.
  5. Once the water boils, set your watch for 3 minutes.
  6. Then, quickly spoon out the eggs and put them in the ice bath.
  7. Cool for 2 minutes then peal and enjoy jammy eggs.
