Recipe: Bacon and Avocado Grilled Cheese

  • whole grain bread - 2 slices
  • 4 slices of turkey bacon
  • ½ of an avocado, sliced
  • 30g of old cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  1. First - make sure you're using good cheese! I'm using 2 year aged white cheddar cheese and old cheddar cheese. If you're in a decant mood, use gouda! So yummy.
  2. Cook up the bacon and cut the avocado.
  3. Soften the butter and brush it on the bread. Use the same pan you cooked the bacon in to cook the grilled cheese.
  4. Layer on the cheese and then top with sliced avocado.
  5. Load on the bacon. You'll probably have to cut your bacon in ½ to get it to fit on the grilled cheese. Flip (be carful all the ingredients don't slip out!). Now eat. Done - lunch is ready!
