First, cut your french bread. Day old works best.
Next, make the churro toping mix. Combine the 1/2 cup of sugar with the 2 tablespoons of cinnamon. You'll want this ready to go as soon as the french toast comes out of the pan.
In a large flat dish mix together the almond milk, egg, vanilla, and the 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix it well and ensure the egg is broken up nicely.
Dip the bread into the wet egg mix. Coat both sides nicely.
Drop the butter into a hot pan and place in the soaked bread.
Cook each side for 2-3 minutes being careful you don't burn them.
Once each piece of french toast is done, coat it in the churro mix. Get that deliciousness on both sides.
Done - time to eat up the goodness. Enjoy the churro waffles.
