Turtle Cookies
Turtles are a holiday favourite – why not make turtle like cookies!? Celebrating day 9 of the 12 days of cookies with turtle cookies.
Servings: 36 cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 cup of cake flour
- 1/2 cup of cocoa
- 1 teaspoon of salt and baking soda
- 2 sticks of salted butter
- 1 1/4 cup of light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs
- a tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of chocolate chips and pecans
- 36 caramel candies - or chocolate caramel balls
Instructions
- First - cream the butter and the sugars.
- Add in the vanilla and eggs.
- Slowly add in the dry ingredients.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and the chopped pecans.
- Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and then press in the caramel.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 13 minutes. Then let cool a bit and eat up.
