- Gluten free pizza crust
- 1/2 cup of pizza sauce (homemade)
- 3/4 cup of black refried beans
- 1/2 pound of ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning
- 2 tablespoons of canola oil
- 200 grams of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 50 grams of shredded old cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of thinly chopped lettuce
- salt to taste
First, make the pizza curst – I still use Bob’s Red Mill and oddly, they changed their directions back in 2017 to match what I shared on the blog – all in all, I’m just happy that gluten free pizza lovers can create an easy to make pizza at home. For the sauce, make the homemade sauce I have linked above, or your favourite – mix 1/2 a cup with 3/4 cup of refried black beans. Heat on low while the dough is resting.
Also, get the turkey browning. Heat the canola oil in a pan and add the ground turkey and taco seasoning. Cook through on medium – about 8 minutes.
Then, roll out your dough as per the best gluten free pizza recipe and bake at 410 for 7-8 minutes. Shred the cheeses and chop the lettuce – then, once the crust is done its first round of baking, time to top it up!
Spread the sauce on, then layer on the taco seasoned turkey and top with the shredded cheese mix and bake for another 8-10 minutes.
Cut, top with shredded lettuce and eat up!
