Ingredients

  • Gluten free pizza crust
  • 1/2 cup of pizza sauce (homemade)
  • 3/4 cup of black refried beans
  • 1/2 pound of ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons of canola oil
  • 200 grams of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 50 grams of shredded old cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of thinly chopped lettuce
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • First, make the pizza curst – I still use Bob’s Red Mill and oddly, they changed their directions back in 2017 to match what I shared on the blog – all in all, I’m just happy that gluten free pizza lovers can create an easy to make pizza at home.
  • For the sauce, make the homemade sauce I have linked above, or your favourite – mix 1/2 a cup with 3/4 cup of refried black beans. Heat on low while the dough is resting.
  • Also, get the turkey browning. Heat the canola oil in a pan and add the ground turkey and taco seasoning. Cook through on medium – about 8 minutes.
  • Then, roll out your dough as per the best gluten free pizza recipe and bake at 410 for 7-8 minutes.
  • Shred the cheeses and chop the lettuce – then, once the crust is done its first round of baking, time to top it up!
  • Spread the sauce on, then layer on the taco seasoned turkey and top with the shredded cheese mix and bake for another 8-10 minutes.
  • Cut, top with shredded lettuce and eat up!
