First – gather all of your ingredients.
Then - warm the milk and melt 4.5 tablespoon of butter in the milk – set aside.
In the mixing bowl mix together half the flour, all the yeast, all the white sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Mix for about 1 minute.
Add in the milk and butter and the egg. Mix well for about 3 minutes.
Gradually add in the remaining flour and mix for 5 minutes.
Let the dough rest for about 7 minutes, then roll it out.
Once the dough is rolled out, slather on a lot of apple butter.
Roll tightly and then cut into 2-2.5 inch pieces.
Lay them in a well buttered baking dish and let stand for 25 minutes.
Bake at 350 degrees for 23-25 minutes. Top with icing and eat.
