Travel: Laugavegur Trail Day Four
The Laugavegur Trail day four – the last day! Since day three was awesome, we didn’t have to worry about dry gear. All of our stuff was dry, warm, and safe. We got up early, since the whole hut was a-buzz by around 5:45am. We took our time, however, since we weren’t really in a rush. Okay, let’s check out some photos of day four, our last day on the trail. Laugavegur Trail Day Four For breakfast, we had oatmeal! After we hit the washroom…

Travel: Laugavegur Trail Day Three
Day three of the Laugavegur Trail! This was the best day – full of sun, snacks, and scary heights! After a decent sleep we had some breakfast and hit the trail. We headed out late around 9am, yet it was worth the sleep in, that’s for sure. Laugavegur Trail Day Three Breakfast – oatmeal! See, we’re the only ones in the kitchen, since everyone else (well, most people) have already left. I usually wake up before Bryce when we’re at home and on this day…

Travel: Laugavegur Trail Day One
The Laugavegur Trail day one – here we go! Hiking the Highlands in Northern Iceland is a bucket list item if you’re a hiker. We spent some time in Reykjavik before the hike and then some time there after, too. The Laugavegur Trail is 55 kilometres long and while it can be done in 2 days, most do it in 3, 4, or 5 days. We opted to get it done in 4 days. Here we go with day one! Laugavegur Trail Day One First…

Travel: Laugavegur Trail Snapshot
The Laugavegur Trail Snapshot! That’s right, we hiked this iconic trail in the Highlands of Iceland, all 55km and all. We had snow, sun, and snacks! Overall, it was an awesome experience. Check out a handful of our photos below to get a sneak peak. I’ll of course share more in the coming while, and I’ll even share the gear we relied on the most, and the gear we could have left at home (honestly, we used about 98% of what we brought!). Okay, photo…

Travel: 5 Day Trail Prep
5 day hike prep! That’s right – we’re planning for a 5 day, 5 night hike that’ll cover a little over 80 kilometres. Last time we hiked for this length of time was back in 2019 when we hiked the West Coast Trail. This time, however, we won’t be tenting. Instead, we’re staying in huts! 5 Day Trail Prep Below I’ll share what I’ve got for clothing and also some eats. Without needing out tent or stove, we’ve got a bunch more room for eats…
