Project: Minnie the Boler After
She’s all done – here is Minnie the Boler after her renovation. This 1971 Boler is a true piece of Canadian history – and now she’s at home in California. Yes, in Cali.
Minnie the Boler After
I love how these adorable vintage hubcaps just pull the whole look together. Also, I love how she doesn’t have a huge vent for the fridge or for the furnace – keeps this side looking clean.
The white LED license plate light – it’s all in the details. Not to mention, that retro white spare tire cover.
This colour! It’s a little unique, yet it was the driving force for all the vintage orange decor. The couch has welting to match the back dinette cushions. Having all of that pattern, I find, would make the inside of the trailer too busy. Keeping the couch more natural added to the dimension of the interior.
We kept things light and bright with natural wood and white walls.
This little dinette is just too cute. Love it.
And, it’s a bed!
Some details – door lock (much more secure than a 45 year old lock) and a brand new jack – all complete with a matching propane tank.
She’s light – we towed her with our Honda Element. So awesome.
Well, there you have it – Minnie the Boler after complete with a little personality and style.

Hi! What color did you use for the white walls?
Ali
Hi,
Dare I say, white? We used Kilz mould and mildew interior/exterior primer that’s only in white to clean up and protect the ensolite.
Hope that helps!

I was wondering if you could tell me where you found the furnace cover/grill? I have looked HIGH and LOW and I cannot locate one anywhere.
Thanks in advance for the info.

Hi Melissa,
It’s original!

Hi!
We bought a vintage Boler last year and the original fridge doesn’t work.
Did you replace your original fridge? If so, what type did you use?
Thank you! I love your remodel!

That’s so fun!
We much prefer ice boxes or coolers, yet Dometic makes a few different fridges and they work well. Hope that helps!
