Recipe: Green Velvet Cake Mix Cookies
St. Patrick’s Day – the day of green – is right around the corner. Need a little treat? Green velvet cake mix cookies is your answer!
Ingredients
- box of white cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup of canola oil
- 8-12 drops of green food colouring
- 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup of green/white sprinkles
First – you’ll need some green and white to celebrate! Grab the sprinkles and the green food colouring – time to get our Irish on!
White chocolate chips and lots of sprinkles make these cookies look good (and, they don’t taste to shabby, either!).
Mix up the first 4 ingredients – blend well. Once it’s all mixed, add in the remaining two ingredients and stir lightly.
I don’t use my mixer for this – I just dirty one bowl and a fork – works just fine.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes. Your first one might take 15 minutes and your last set will take about 12. When the edges start to turn just slightly brown, they’re done.
Let them cool and then eat them up!
Makes about 24 cookies.
Happy soon to be green day!
Enjoy your weekend.
