Travel: Hallgrimskirkja Church
The Hallgrimskirkja Church offers a stunning view of Reykjavik on all four sides, plus, the church bells are worth visiting for, too! As a traveller, one of my favourite things is to get up high and see the city. After we ate at Moss and spend the afternoon at the Blue Lagoon, the church was next on our list. We visited on a Sunday and didn’t have to wait long at all. Okay, photo time! Hallgrimskirkja Church First up, head inside and buy your tickets…

Travel: Moss Restaurant
Moss restaurant is a Michelin starred dining experience that offers some of the most delicate, naturally inspired food we’ve had. The service was top-notch and the view was worth it alone! Plus, the company, right?! So good. For Moss, they offer a seven course menu that takes you on a journey through Iceland’s landscape. From mountains to rivers and then to the sea – all from a very fresh perspective. As most of you probably know, I’m gluten free and only eat seafood and poultry,…

Travel: Blue Lagoon
Blue Lagoon in Iceland (it’s not in Reykjavik, yet it’s close – about an hour away) is a must see if you’re a bucket list type of person. For us, it was more about enjoying the day catching up and relaxing. Bryce was away from home for about 2 weeks and we met in Iceland for our off the continent vacation this year. The Blue Lagoon was our first stop – time to catch-up, relax, and simply be. While Iceland has many spas or natural…

Travel: Laugavegur Trail Snapshot
The Laugavegur Trail Snapshot! That’s right, we hiked this iconic trail in the Highlands of Iceland, all 55km and all. We had snow, sun, and snacks! Overall, it was an awesome experience. Check out a handful of our photos below to get a sneak peak. I’ll of course share more in the coming while, and I’ll even share the gear we relied on the most, and the gear we could have left at home (honestly, we used about 98% of what we brought!). Okay, photo…

Travel: Reykjavik Snapshot
Reykjavik snapshot – our first handful of days in this wonderfully colourful Nordic city have been awesome. From experiencing the Blue Lagoon, to museums, this place is packed with things to do, delicious food to eat, and many sights to see. Let’s check out a few highlights. Reykjavik Snapshot One of my favourite things to do when visiting a new city is to see it from above. Reykjavik isn’t that big, however, you can look out from the famous church tower. It’s worth checking out.…

Travel: 5 Day Trail Prep
5 day hike prep! That’s right – we’re planning for a 5 day, 5 night hike that’ll cover a little over 80 kilometres. Last time we hiked for this length of time was back in 2019 when we hiked the West Coast Trail. This time, however, we won’t be tenting. Instead, we’re staying in huts! 5 Day Trail Prep Below I’ll share what I’ve got for clothing and also some eats. Without needing out tent or stove, we’ve got a bunch more room for eats…
