Project: Tipsy the Boler After
Tipsy the Boler after – a labour of love, truly. We overhauled this 1972 Canadian made Boler twice – that’s right, twice! The first time was to travel the west coast for about 3 months back in 2014. This time – the summer of 2021 we overhauled Tipsy the way we wish we could have the first time around – galvanized frame, a solar panel, and a nifty icebox ta-boot! Okay, let’s check out some photos! Tipsy the Boler After Back in 2012 we purchased…

Travel: 4 Days in Omaha
Four days in Omaha! This summer we were in Omaha on business and had a bit of fun exploring the mid-western city. From the zoo to eats, Omaha didn’t disappoint. Check out some photos and be sure to visit the individual posts if you’re travelling to Nebraska. Four Days in Omaha Accommodations, Eats, and Getting Around Things to do in Omaha Okay – time for some photos, let’s revisit some of our favourite memories from our time in the mid-west. Oh, and if you’re looking…

Travel: Omaha Transit
Omaha transit – the best (and cheapest) way to travel around Omaha. We took the ORBT up to Target, and took the standard bus to the zoo, the farmer’s market, and to the gardens. The schedule is reliable and the public transit in Omaha is way under utilized. It’s not like the L-Train in Chicago, but Bryce and I were shocked how little local residents used the bus. It’s $1.25 a trip, so very cost effective. Okay, let’s checkout some photos. Omaha Transit First, the…

Photos: Woof Wednesday 7.0
It’s Woof Wednesday 7.0 time – being in Australia for 29 days we most certainly missed this sweet pup. All four paws and two shaggy ears! Daphne came into our lives 3 years ago, so this is our fourth round of comparable photos. Bryce and I aren’t aging one bit, haha. Also, I switched up the way I hold her in the photos. When she was younger I could easily hold her by her back legs, with my arm underneath her kneecaps, yet not any…

Travel: Fraser Island Snapshot
Fraser Island snapshot – known as K’gari, it’s a world heritage site and has spectacular views. We picked up our 4×4 from Fraser Dingo and toured the island by on our own with an individualized itinerary, leaving plenty of time to explore. If you rent a 4×4 you’ll get a safety briefing going over all the tips and tricks for driving safely in the sand. We were a bit nervous at first, yet it’s just like driving on fresh snow! The similarities were wild. If…

Travel: Kinka Beach Snapshot
Kinka Beach snapshot – just south of Yeppoon, this quite little place has a few hidden gems! From the Capricorn Caves, to some stunning short hikes, this place is peaceful. Okay, let’s checkout some photos. If you stopped by last week you m know we were in Cape Hillsborough. The drive to Kinka Beach is about 4.5 hours and being gluten free, I often plan our lunch stops ahead (if not packing a lunch). On this slightly remote drive we were pleasantly surprised by the…

Travel: Cape Hillsborough Snapshot
Cape Hillsborough snapshot – such a beautiful national park in a remote part of Queensland. If you’re looking to disconnect, hike, and enjoy some downtime, then visit Cape Hills. We stayed in the campground, in one of their terrace huts. Nothing glamorous, since it’s a campground, yet it had everything we needed for a few great days of hiking! Cape Hillsborough Snapshot With three trails leaving right from the campground, we had two days where we didn’t even drive our car! Nope, just suited up,…
