Brisbane City Botanic Gardens

The Brisbane City Botanic Gardens – a great way to spend time outside in the summer and stay cool. The trees offer a lot of shade! Bring a cold drink, a snack, and enjoy the greenery. We found this place after our South Bank City Walk and decided to venture down and take a peek during the day.

Okay, I don’t know all the names or types of trees, so I’ll just share some photos – and a snapshot of some wildlife we saw crossing the brick path, haha. Let’s go, it’s photo time.

There are signs all around the park with QR codes, so you can check out the paths, the trees, and gain some insight into what’s what! We took a more leisurely approach and just walked around, staying in the shade most of the time.

Isn’t the tree above magical? It’s so big and wise looking, isn’t it? so cool.

The pant below reminds me of our tradescantia zebrina from home – the wandering one with the bright pink ends. It’s pretty.

We loved these paths that were balanced with trees like-for-like on either side. Also, this was the last bit of shade we had before venturing into the area that was more open and bordered downtown.

Here’s the wildlife we saw on our walk – he was slow and most certainly enjoyed the warm bricks.

Well, that about does it for the City Botanic Gardens. It’s a great way to spend the afternoon, or even an hour on a bench with an iced coffee.

Hopefully you have some time this week to enjoy some downtime, the outdoors, and take a moment for yourself. Enjoy nature, a walk, or whatever your heart desires.

Thanks for stopping by – see you again soon. We’ll check out the clock tower next!
