Travel: Art Aquarium Museum
The Art Aquarium Museum is a fun experience in downtown Tokyo. We checked out this exhibit before dinner and enjoyed the display of goldfish, water, and air bubbles. Oh, and let’s not forget the more decorated pieces that had flowers. Such a neat museum. We spent about 45-60 minutes at the aquarium and it wasn’t too costly, 2500 yen, so just under 25 dollars Canadian. Check out the museum’s website for more info. Pro tip, you can find the aquarium entrance on the 9th floor…

Travel: Banff National Park 2024
Banff National Park 2024 – a camping, hiking, and paddleboarding trip in June. We had great weather, cool nights, and hit the sub zero water while out paddleboarding. All in all, we were thankful for the fire and a warm Boler to lay our heads. Banff National Park 2024 First up, paddleboarding. We got these boards back in 2018 and have enjoyed a few adventures with them in glacial water. Waterton Lakes? Check. Jasper? Check-Check. Banff? Check-Check-Check! Third time’s a charm, right? Well, not when…

Travel: Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
The Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is a stunning place to visit, walk around, take a break, and people watch. You can use your Suica card to gain access, or buy a ticket. It’s 500 yen, so just under 5 dollars Canadian. Worth it! One of our favourite things to do while travelling is people watch, eat snacks, and just be for a bit. After we hiked Mount Takao we took the metro back into the city, stopped at a grocery store for some snacks and…

Travel: Mount Takao
Mount Takao – we hiked trail number six of this beautiful mountain about an hour outside of downtown Tokyo. The winding path is stunning, full of trees, moss, and very few people. Once we got to the top, however, the views were well worth the hundreds of steps. On the way down, we divided our walk between the popular paved path and then jumped back into the wilderness with a more off the beaten path route. Check out our photos below. Mount Takao Okay, first…

Travel: Shibuya Sky
The Shibuya Sky is a great way to see the scramble crossing, yet also an awesome way to see the city sky in Tokyo. It’s just under 230 meters above the city, and if you know me, you know I love high lookout spaces – and the sky doesn’t disappoint! Pro Tip – buy your tickets online. When we visited not only where tickets sold out, for that day, and the next handful of days, but people were turned away. It wouldn’t be much fun…

Travel: Shibuya Crossing
The Shibuya Crossing is the busiest crosswalk in the world and it located in the heart of Tokyo, Japan. The scramble crossing is west of the city centre in the area of Shibuya. Many different sources say that at peak times, more than 3000 people cross at one time. That’s 2.4 million people a day – a day! Wild! When we visited, around 8:00pm, it wasn’t that busy. Don’t get me wrong, it was busy, just not 3000 people busy. Okay, let’s check out some…

Photos: Woof Wednesday 9.0
Woof Wednesday 9.0! We’re totally late on this one, but better late than never. We got Daphne 4 years ago (well, a little past, since we’re late). We got her in November 2019 and these are her got-ya day photos. She’s gotten so big, eh?! Not as fluffy as she used to be, but that’s because we keep her hair short. You’d be surprised how many twigs she still catches with her ears. Okay, photo time. Woof Wednesday 9.0 Look at all that hair on…
