The Art Aquarium Museum is a fun experience in downtown Tokyo. We checked out this exhibit before dinner and enjoyed the display of goldfish, water, and air bubbles. Oh, and let’s not forget the more decorated pieces that had flowers. Such a neat museum. The Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is a stunning place to visit, walk around, take a break, and people watch. You can use your Suica card to gain access, or buy a ticket. It’s 500 yen, so just under 5 dollars Canadian. Worth it! One of our favourite things to do while travelling is people watch, eat snacks, and just be for a bit. Mount Takao – we hiked trail number six of this beautiful mountain about an hour outside of downtown Tokyo. The winding path is stunning, full of trees, moss, and very few people. Once we got to the top, however, the views were well worth the hundreds of steps. On the way down, we divided our walk between the popular paved path and then jumped back into the wilderness with a more off the beaten path route. Check out our photos below. The Shibuya Sky is a great way to see the scramble crossing, yet also an awesome way to see the city sky in Tokyo. It’s just under 230 meters above the city, and if you know me, you know I love high lookout spaces – and the sky doesn’t disappoint! Pro Tip – buy your tickets online. The Shibuya Crossing is the busiest crosswalk in the world and it located in the heart of Tokyo, Japan. The scramble crossing is west of the city centre in the area of Shibuya. Many different sources say that at peak times, more than 3000 people cross at one time. That’s 2.4 million people a day – a day! Wild! When we visited, around 8:00pm, it wasn’t that busy.
