Project: Plants 5.0

Plants! Plants 5.0 – that’s right, I’ve shared a few plant updates over the years, yet not in the last 4 years or so. While we have a handful of new ones, some of our old-timey ones are doing great. We lost our original fire-stick during our second floor reno, yet got it replaced recent and that cacti is doing well in our home.

All in all, plants are fantastic! They add dimension, add character, and add in a whole lot of life. Okay, let’s check out these plants.

Plants 5.0

First up, all of our new plants. These big leafy ones love the south facing windows. They’re super neat, and they’re full of so much texture. It’s wild.

Isn’t the plant above super cool? Like with all that shine, it’s hard not to smile when I see it.

Oh, and our money plant is doing well – it’s been propagated a handful of times and it’s getting super bushy.

Another long-term plant is this one, which was a cutoff from Bryce’s parents. It’s made a turn for the better in this new pot. It’s really bloomed and it’s so neat to see it so happy. Notice anything fun?! It’s got a wee butterfly plant in it! That’s what happens when we reuse soil. Haha!

Okay, a few other classics. This snake plant is the perfect colour for that pot.

Plants are fun, aren’t they?

What’s your favourite? I really enjoy the plants that move a lot – the purple butterfly one we have is super neat. I also really like this wild one we have growing in our entry way. I’m not sure what it’s called, but it’s gangly and grows quite quickly. I’ll have to snap a photo of it next time.
