Recipe: Chocolate Banana Donuts
A few weeks ago I purchased about 12 bananas and let them rot. This is one recipe I was excited to try – chocolate banana donuts, or well, sort of donuts. This was my first time using my donut tin and I leaned a lot! Tip one, don’t fill them too full (or very full at all, for that matter).
Ingredients
- 3 medium large ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup of melted salted butter
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup of peanut butter
- tablespoon of vanilla extract
- teaspoon of baking soda
- dash of salt
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- handful of mini chocolate chips
First – gather all of your ingredients. The Ghirardelli chocolate makes this recipe complete – try it!
In a large bowl, mach up the bananas. Then, add in the next 5 ingredients. Mix well. Then, slowly add in the next 4. Mix until just blended. Add in the chocolate chips.
Now, get your donut tin ready. I filled them WAY TOO full. This recipe made me 12 muffin looking donuts, if you were to use the right amount of batter in the donut tin, you should end up with 28-32 donuts. Top with a few extra chocolate chips.
Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
They look like donuts from the bottom! haha.
Not from the top.
Either way, they taste good.
Eat up and enjoy your weekend. Visit again soon.
