Recipe: Pink Sprinkle Rice Krispies
Pink sprinkle rice krispies! The perfect bright and fun treat for the 14th of February – pink, purple, and marshmallow goodness. Let’s get baking!
Ingredients
- 15 oz of marshmallows
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 tablespoons of vanilla
- 8 cups of gluten free rice krispies
- 1 cup of white chocolate candy melts
- 1/4 cup of pink colourful sprinkles
First, get out a large pan – 9×13 and give it a quick spray or line it with parchment paper. I prefer giving it a spray with pam, yet you pick.
Next, in a large pot melt the stick of butter and add in the 15 oz of marshmallows (about 50 large mallows). Stir with a spoon on medium to low heat until the mallows are melted. Then add in the vanilla.
Once it’s all combined, add in the puffed rice one cup at a time. Stir until everything is well combined.
Then, when everything is well mixed, press into the greased pan and chill for about an hour.
Now, time for the white chocolate and sprinkle topping! Melt the white chocolate melts in the microwave as you usually would, then drizzle on top of the chilled rice krispies. Then, quickly top with the pink colourful sprinkles. You might need to move a little quickly with the sprinkles, that way they stick to the melted chocolate.
Then, cut and eat up!
These are so good – and they’re even good right out of the freezer!
We do freeze them for lunches or snacks later in the week, which makes for a nice little treat.
Well, there you have it, pink sprinkle rice krispies!
These rice krispies are full of chewy goodness (and, they’re gluten free!). When you’re gluten free it’s hard to find chewy snacks, so this is a go-to for me. The sprinkles add a nice colourful pop, yet don’t be afraid to mix it up if you’re in the mood for other colours.
Thanks for stopping by, and happy snack making!
