    The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum is a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours. The art, the history, and the fun! It’s a delight.     Travel: Ueno Zoological Gardens

    The Ueno Zoological Gardens – it’s worth the visit to see the pandas! They have quite a few and when we visited they had panda cubs, the line was two hours long. Ah, no thank you.     Travel: Sensō-ji

    Sensō-ji is an ancient Buddhist temple in Tokyo, the Asakusa neighbourhood. It was founded in 645 AD, so just under 1400 years ago. The main hall was rebuilt in the 1950s after it was destroyed during WWII. The temple is very active and a culturally rich place to visit. If you’re in Tokyo, the check it out.     Travel: Art Aquarium Museum

    The Art Aquarium Museum is a fun experience in downtown Tokyo. We checked out this exhibit before dinner and enjoyed the display of goldfish, water, and air bubbles. Oh, and let’s not forget the more decorated pieces that had flowers. Such a neat museum. We spent about 45-60 minutes at the aquarium and it wasn’t too costly, 2500 yen, so just under 25 dollars Canadian. Check out the museum’s website for more info.     Travel: Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

    The Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is a stunning place to visit, walk around, take a break, and people watch. You can use your Suica card to gain access, or buy a ticket. It’s 500 yen, so just under 5 dollars Canadian. Worth it! One of our favourite things to do while travelling is people watch, eat snacks, and just be for a bit.
