Travel: Tokyo Snapshot
Tokyo Snapshot – yes, we’re in Japan travelling for a little under two weeks and here is a little peek into our time in Tokyo. From ramen to temples, and even some hikes, we most certainly had a good time! Okay, let’s check out some photos. Tokyo Snapshot Busy streets are filled with a whole lot of energy. From bright billboards to crowded crosswalks, this mega city is clearly go-go-go. On our first night we visited a few landmarks and took in some people watching…

Travel: Capricorn Caves
Capricorn Caves is one of the highlights of our four week, month long trip to Australia last year. The best part is that it wasn’t even on the list. If you know me, and my trip planning abilities, you know that things are often scheduled. I don’t like to leave too much unplanned since it feels like wasting time sitting around trying to figure out where to go, what to do, or when to eat. Plus, being a celiac makes things a little more challenging.…

Travel: Double Head Viewpoint
Double Head Viewpoint is an awesome little hike just outside of Kinka Beach in Queensland, Australia. It’s less than 45 minutes, and worth checking out. You can see the marina on one side and the beach on the other. Not to mention the amazing rock face – it’s amazing! Okay, let’s check out some photos and I’ll share a few tidbits about our hike. Double Head Viewpoint First, watch out for snakes – you’ll see what I mean in a few photos. See – I…

One of the best things about Bluff Point is you get an awesome look at Double Head Point – and vice versa, if you like Double Head. It’s neat to look back and think – we hiked up there, that’s high! Good times. Okay, let’s check out some photos.…

Travel: Cafe in Sarina
This cafe in Sarina is one of the best food experiences I’ve had! If you’re ever travelling south of Cape Hillsborough in Queensland, Australia, be sure to check out the Roots Collective – you’ll be happy you did! Okay – I found this place on Google Maps of all places. We were leaving Cape Hillsborough for Kinka Beach and needed a place to stop for lunch. After looking in Sarina, the halfway point, I stumbled across this sweet place – it wasn’t the Roots Collective,…

Travel: Cape Hillsborough National Park
Cape Hillsborough National Park is a must see if you’re in Queensland, Australia. It’s full of hikes, beaches, and a clean campground that has kangaroos bouncing around like they own the place! We didn’t have our Boler, for obvious reasons, so we rented one of their super basic cabins for the few nights we stayed. It was sufficient, yet we weren’t big fans of all the little signs telling us ‘we need to…’ – felt unnecessary. Overall, though, worth the stop for sure! Okay, let’s…
