    Travel: Margo’s Farm

Margo’s farm – the best peaches and cherries I’ve ever had. On our recent trip to British Columbia this summer we stopped over in Fernie, BC. One of the main reasons is because we wanted to take advantage of some of the farmer’s markets along the way.  Farmer’s markets are just the best – they’re full of so much goodness and wonderful people. Cranbrook and Creston both hold markets on Saturdays in the summer. So, we left on Friday, stayed in the Boler in Fernie…

    Travel: Going-to-the-Sun Road 2.0

Going-to-the-Sun Road 2.0. Yes – we fully completed the famous road heading through Glacier National Park. Last year we only completed 13.5 of the 50 miles. I can’t fully express how beautiful the drive is, seriously. You need to see it for yourself. Going-to-the-Sun Road 2.0 A bear! Yes, we saw a small grizzly cub – I didn’t get a very good shot, yet I was fully stretched out of the truck. Bryce was like “I think he’s far enough away that you could get…

    Travel: 3 Days in Portland

Spending three days in Portland is one of the highlights of the year. Thus far, anyway. The city offered more than I expected and had this chill vibe where you simply felt like you could be yourself, weird and all. Let’s check out some of the posts about our recent trip to this awesome city in Oregon. Three Days in Portland First, where we stayed. This beautiful bungalow was our second VRBO experience and we learned a lot – like how we like our privacy.…

    Travel: Portland Eats

Portland eats. It’s time to eat in Portland! Being a celiac it’s sometimes hard to find the perfect dive bar with good food. The White Owl Social Club is just that – gluten free friendly. Looking for something a little more refined? We visited one of Portland’s top dining spots – Imperial. Both experience wont’ be forgotten. Let’s eat! Portland Eats The White Owl Social Club opens at 3pm and we visited on a Friday afternoon – great way to end the week. Large tables…

    Travel: Oregon Zoo

The Oregon zoo! I love the zoo and the Oregon Zoo is no exception. They run a humane system of working with experts and stand strong on many issues such as climate change, exotic pets and palm oil. Oregon Zoo The Oregon Zoo is relatively inexpensive at only $14.95 during the high season. The day we visited it was raining, yet not to worry – we had fun and saw so many animals! This mountain goat is all about playing in the rain. He’s climbing…

Downtown Portland. So, have you been to Portland, Oregon? Well, if not, then visit. It’s weird, wonderful, and wacky. Not to mention it’s only a few hours drive from Seattle, Washington. Oh, and the area has some beautiful areas to hike. Here we’re exploring the downtown core. Check out some of our photos below. Downtown Portland The river walk – such great views. Pioneer Square and Powell’s Book Store are both located in downtown Portland. This huge book store spans a whole city block. It’s…

    Travel: Beautiful Bungalow

After visiting Vancouver and Seattle we headed to Portland, Oregon in March of 2017. Our very first VRBO experience was Queen Anne Flats. It was awesome. This Beautiful Bungalow is a tad different. It’s a private basement in someone’s home. We knew this when booking, yet since we had never experienced a VRBO like this, we were willing to give it a try. All in all our experience was pleasant, yet in the future we’d for sure like more privacy. Beautiful Bungalow This quaint basement…
