Recipe: Brown Bag Popcorn
Popcorn is a must for a Friday night movie, right? Well, let’s try this brown bag popcorn.
Do you remember those old air popcorn poppers? They stand up right and have a little measuring scoop at the top – which I actually think has a dual use of measuring the popcorn and melting butter. We don’t have one of those, and although I love popping popcorn on the stovetop, like old fashioned popcorn, sometimes I’m in the mood for something lighter.
Brown bag popcorn!
Ingredients
- A brown paper bag
- Popping corn
- Microwave
Measure out 1/4 cup of popcorn and dump it in the bag. Fold the bag over twice.
Put it in the microwave for 2 minutes. You’ll need to listen, just as you would if you were popping store bought microwave popcorn…but don’t buy microwaved popcorn, it’s toxic and Oprah has the details here. When the pops are 3 seconds apart, the popcorn is ready.
Top off with salt or one of your favourite seasonings…I’m sassy!
Pop your own on the stovetop or in a brown bag.
Happy popping!!
