Recipe: Chewy Homemade Brownies
We have snow here on the ground in Northern Alberta…what better way to stay warm than to turn on your oven.
It’s time for chewy homemade brownies!
If you wish, you can make this recipe in one bowl, minimizing your dishes – or you can dirty 3 like I did. You pick!
Ingredients
- 4 ounces of semi-sweetened Baker’s chocolate
- 3/4 cup of butter
- 2 cups of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla
- 1/2 cup of flour and cake flour
First – gather all of your ingredients. Also, I’ve only ever used Bakers…let me know if other kinds are better, too!
If you want to use only one bowl, use a big one. First, melt your butter and chocolate together. You can use the microwave, yet do so at 1/2 the power. Or, use a double boiler. You can put your bowl on top of the pot (unless it might melt).
Once The first two ingredients are melted together, add in the next 3. Mix well.
Then, add in the flours. Mix really well.
Line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper. Pour in the brownie mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 32 minutes.
After the brownie is completely cool (I let mine sit in the fridge for 2 hours) take out and carefully remove the parchment paper. As you can see, I didn’t do this carefully enough, thus my brownie cracked (I was actually being dumb and trying to flip it over…silly me). Not to worry, it still will taste just as great. Cut and eat.
I cut them small so I can have 3 or ten! haha.
Happy baking.
Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon.
