Recipe: Chewy Smarties Cookies

Day 11!!

Only one day left in the 12 days of cookies celebration here at 3ten.ca. Like smarties? What are smarties, you ask? A delicious British treat that is available here in Canada. They are nothing like m&ms, but they are shaped like them. The chocolate inside is sweeter and the candy coating, although it will melt in your hand, is lighter and crunchier than a bland m&m. You need to try them!! Then, try this cookie recipe!!

Ingredients

• • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of backing soda
  • 2 teaspoons of corn starch
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar and white sugar
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla
  • 1/2 cup of holiday coloured Smarties

   
  First – cream the butter and sugars. Add in the eggs and vanilla. Mix in the dry ingredients. Blend well. Gently stir in the Smarties.

  

  Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

  

  Stack. Eat. Smile.
