Recipe: Churro Donuts
Churro donuts!
These donuts turned out way better than my last ones – banana chocolate chip donuts. On this recipe I took what I leaned last time and didn’t fill the tin as full. The first batch is still bigger, but the second is perfect – true see though donuts.
Like churro? Try my churro waffles – so yummy.
Okay, back to the donuts!
Ingredients
- 1/2 a cup and 2 tablespoons of salted butter
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups of flour
- 5 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 cup of 1% milk
Topping:
- 3 tablespoons of salted butter
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
First – gather all of your ingredients together.
Next – cream the butter and sugar together. Add in the eggs. Mix well. Then, add in the flour, baking powder and the cinnamon. Mix well. It’ll look like thick dough. Then, incorporate the milk – it’ll soften up.
Fill the donut pan half full. These, I filled a little more than half, yet they still turned out okay.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes.
See how big they are? You can hardly see the hole!
Get your 3 tablespoons of butter melted and mix together the cinnamon and sugar for the topping. While the donuts are still warm, dip in the butter and then into the churro mixture.
Ta-Da!
Okay – this time I filled them a little less.
Worked well – they are smaller but you can see the hole – like a real donut!
Happy donut making.
Eat up and enjoy life.
