Recipe: Double Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies
Cookies?! Yes – time for cookies. These double chocolate cake mix cookies are the perfect little treat during these cold winter months. I’ve made them as double chocolate mint, double chocolate skor and double chocolate peanut. Today, we’re making double chocolate reese’s. Let’s get baking.
Ingredients
- 1 box of chocolate fudge cake mix
- 1/2 a cup of melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 a cup of coco powder
- 1 cup of chocolate chips
- 3/4 of a cup of candy (reese’s, mint chocolate chips, ect.)
First – gather all of your ingredients and set the oven to 350 degrees.
Next – take the cake mix and sift it with the coco powder into a bowl. Add the eggs.
Then, add in the melted butter and mix well.
Stir in the chocolate chips and the candy.
Your dough is ready! This double chocolate cake mix recipe makes 36 cookies, yet if you only want to make a few, the dough will keep in the fridge for 2-3 days. Just wrap in plastic and store in an air tight container.
Roll the cookies out into 1 inch balls and then bake for 7-9 minutes. Let them cool on the pan for about 5 minutes before you start to transfer them to the cooling rack. If you move them too soon, they’ll break on you.
Let them cool for another 10 and you’re good to eat up!
I brought the mint version of these cookies into work last Sunday and they were a hit – try them out and let me know what you think. Happy baking and thanks for visiting.
