Travel: Siffleur Falls Hike
Siffleur Falls hike – this easy, yet wonderful hike is about 3.5 hours from our home. The trail is full of mountain views, fresh air and clear glacier running water. If you’re looking for a backcountry experience then give this hike a try! It’s about 1.5 hours north of Lake Louise, and about 2.5 hours east of Red Deer – on highway 11. Travel: Miquelon Lake Hike
Miquelon Lake hike – it’s about a 9km hike if you do the full grouse loop, and you can take various paths through Chickadee, Deer Loop, as well as Ermine and Fox Loop. The best part about this provincial park is that it’s only about 20 minutes from our house! Such a perfect little location to get out and about without a long drive. Travel: Banff Paddleboarding 2020
Banff paddleboarding 2020 – that’s right, back in July we headed to Banff and took a paddle on the Bow River. It’s bright blue and full of glacier runoff. Oh, and cold. The water is very, very cold. Travel: Elk Island Hike
Elk Island hike – the weather was sunny, a bit cloudy, and we had just enough bug spray. Plus, the bison are such a treat to see! In June we hiked two trails, number 11 and number 12. Does it count as travel if you live near the area? I’m going to say yes – if it’s a touristy thing and you travel more than 30 minutes, it counts as travel!
