    Travel: Ucluelet Aquarium

The Ucluelet Aquarium is worth the stop. This catch and release aquarium is one of a kind. On the Saturday morning after breakfast I was reviewing the map, expecting to do the lighthouse loop, and saw tat Ucluelet had an aquarium. Such a great pivot to visit these under the sea creatures. Okay, let’s check out some photos! Ucluelet Aquarium We did two laps around the open tank, and you could expect to spend about 30-45 minutes here, if you take your time. They even…

    Travel: National Pacific Rim Hike

National Pacific Rim hike – such beauty. This hike was about 7-8 kilometres and took us just over 2 hours, yet we stopped for a picnic and took our time. When we bought our park pass the park ranger told us one of the nicest hike was to combine trail 3, 4, and 5, walking back to our car on Wick Road. Great advice! We ate lunch just before trail 5 and added the road portion to the end of our trail. Okay, let’s check…

Woof Wednesday 6.0 – time to celebrate Daphne the Afghan Hound. Nothing special other than the fact that we love this four pawed pup. One thing we used to say when we had Bella and Lily, is ‘did the hound eat’ or ‘does the hound need a foot bath’. You get the idea, we used hound instead of dog. Well, oddly Bryce and I started laughing back in December 2019 when we fell into this habit again – why, because Daphne is indeed a hound…
