    Project: Deer Fence

Deer fence! What? Yes, we installed a 6.5 foot deer fence in May. It took us about 3 weeks from beginning to end (we worked about 4 full days, and then a couple of hours on odd evenings). Deer Fence Bryce had to brush cut more than 2000 feet of paths so we could get the fence in, and we gained a bit of land on the west side since the markers set back in 1970 were way, way off. Happy we got a land…

    Project: Stay Home

Stay home – with everything that’s going on right now, staying home as much as possible is best. I know that Daph-Daph loves when we’re home. So, what to do? Recipes! Projects! Sewing! Things that move to the back burner…travel planning (and you know how much I love travel planning). Okay, I’ll share with you three of my favourite things to do when I’m home – something to feel productive, something fun, and something to eat. I mean, snacks. Who doesn’t love snacks? Stay Home:…

    Photos: Daphne the Afghan Hound

Daphne the Afghan Hound – she’s one of the sweetest, goofiest, and weirdest dogs ever. And, she’s our new pup. In December Bryce and I were busy – so busy with work and since it had been more than two years since we said goodbye to Bella, and about 20 months since we said goodbye to Lily, we thought – hey, let’s get a dog to help slow us down. After a dinner out and over tacos we decided on an Afghan Hound. Now, where…

    Travel: Paris Sights

Paris Sights – I’m not talking about the big items, like the Eiffel Tower, or the Mona Lisa, but the more integrated pieces that are found throughout the city. The sights you’ll find walking around enjoying the city of love. Paris Sights These next few sights are places we walked by about 12 times total, all within a few blocks of our hotel. Le Marais is such a great neighbourhood. Okay, these just look like so much fun – I wanted try and jump from…

    Travel: Galeries Lafayette

Galeries Lafayette – well, it’s a shoppers heaven. Looking for Chanel? Louis Vuitton? Or perhaps other high end designers? This is your place. It’s all one store, yet with various boutiques. Many of them have stanchions to queue people up since there are more shoppers than room in the store. We visited on our first night in Paris and I bought a scarf. Funny story. I found a scarf I liked, yet I left it on the shelf (there were about 4). Then on the…
