Travel: Adler Planetarium Chicago
This place is awesome. Flat out one of the best places I’ve ever been. If you’re in Chicago then check out the Adler Planetarium – and plan to spend about 3-4 hours here – you’ll want to see all the shows you can!
Adler Planetarium Chicago
You can’t go to a planetarium and not talk about Pluto, right?
We will for sure miss you. My Magic School Bus ruler still has you listed, though. You can’t turn back time.
This display is so fun. You get to pick a place in the universe to send you a post card. The closest was about 4.5 days, all the way up to about 8383 years. Ah, no. They won’t have email in 8383 years. We picked an email from the star Proxima Centauri which will arrive in 4.2 years, or in July of 2022. So fun!
Okay – this caught me off guard. I thought it was “Huston, we have a problem” – close, yet not quite accurate.
With 3 theatres in the building be sure to check out at least a couple. Oh, and get your tickets ahead of time.
The planetarium is on Museum Campus and the views of downtown Chicago are beautiful from the peninsula so be sure to spend some time wondering around outside.
Thanks for visiting. Go outside, look up, and enjoy the wonder of the sky. It’s so beautiful. Until next time – eat snacks!!
