Travel: Art Institute of Chicago
The Art Institute of Chicago is beautiful. From Monet to Warhol, it’s stunning. They are open daily from 10:30am – 5:00pm, and until 8:00pm on Thursday. First, I can promise you if you’re even slightly more of an art fan than I am, you won’t have enough time in this place.
And, as art fans go, I’m about a 6/10. Really. There was a point where we had to burn though spaces, like powerwalking, that way I had time to spend on the pieces I loved. Know what you want to see beforehand so you don’t miss it. That, however, it hard for me at times since I like to take my time, walk around and be moved by the art. If you really do want to see it all and not quickly, then you’ll need more than one day for sure.

I suggest visiting Millenium Park and Cloud Gate in the morning and then checking this place out after an early lunch, giving you the most time to explore.
This column is beautiful – I just love the contrast of light to dark.
Classic and modern collide.
Impressionism will forever be a love of mine. Flat out awe.
This guy’s hat!
Haystacks and Van Gogh.
And this Caillebotte.
Ah! The Degas!
One of my favourites.
Well, there you have it. A little tour around the Art Institute of Chicago. Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out this post. It’s so much fun to re-visit some of our experiences. Brings me happiness. Happy Saturday friends!
