Travel: Courtyard Marriott Omaha

The Courtyard Marriott in Omaha is downtown and just a block away from the Old Market. It’s spacious, has a great view, and super friendly staff! If you’re going to downtown Omaha anytime soon, then pick this hotel! The only downside is it doesn’t have a pool. Okay, here are some added photos.

The room is pretty standard – has a large king bed, a desk (Bryce and I both worked a bit while on our vacation), as well as a mini-fridge and a spectacular view. The large loft like windows were great – I loved sitting in bed reading in the morning, having the sky and low-level buildings in the window – it’s very downtownish!

Although the room didn’t have a couch, I like that it had another place other than the bed or desk to sit. Plus, the artwork was distinctly Omaha. I didn’t get any photos of the bathroom, but they had photos of the zoo in that area.

The TV swivels out, and it’s easily viewable from bed. One feature we liked is that they had all the apps on the TV (so Amazon, Netflix and so on) and all you needed to do was sign in with your own account. Certainly beat watching shows on our laptops!

My favourite part of the room was all the natural light – something so soothing about sunlight.

I just can’t get over those windows!

Having a king bed when we’re on vacation for any longer than 3+ nights is a usual must for us – getting a good nights sleep is key when we’ve got packed plans. Oh, and did I mention that Omaha was 38+ degrees and over 80% humidity. Weather like that knocks me out, so rest is important!
