Travel: Harpa Concert Hall
Harpa Concert Hall is a must see in Reykjavik – even if you don’t see any performances (we didn’t!) the building itself is stunning. There’s an open area where you can walk around, enjoy the history of the building, and take in all the sites. From the architecture to the vibe, be sure to visit this memorable concert hall. Okay, photos!
Harpa Concert Hall
I will admit, there’s a lot of tourists in this area and a lot of people handing out tour pamphlets, yet no need to stress, it’s worth checking out. It’s free to walk around and take photos, so head in! We started with the history hallway – enter the doors and head over to the right.
The timeline starts in the 1950s and makes it way all the way up to today, in the 2020s.
Looking for a little interactive exercise?! Then grab a pen, a sticky note, and think-think-think of something to write. I’m not sure about you, but I enjoy checking out these little notes when we’er travelling to see if I can find anyone from home – Canada. Or, if I can find the person who might have travelled the farthest – Australia.
Up next, we walked around the building in awe of the feeling, the concrete, the blackness, and the contrast of the silver geometrical ceiling. Photos don’t give you the same experience, not one bit!
Up next, some views of outside – the harbour is quite the site.
Up next, a gold replica of the building – it’s neat, eh?
Overall, we had an awesome time at the Harpa Concert Hall. We spent about 30 minutes here, checked out the sites, the gift shop, and people watched for a bit.
If you’re in the area, do stop in!
Happy travelling – see you again soon!
Thanks for visting.
