Travel: North Cove Suites

North Cove Suites in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. The price is right, it’s clean, cool, and has a lot of space to spread out. When booking accommodations for our trip we generally wanted to have a kitchen in each place and for sure a fridge. This place didn’t disappoint. Great walking distance to the terminal and to city centre.

North Cove Suites

First, they’re apartments that individuals own and rent out – we booked our stay directly through the North Cove site for the best price. Okay, photo time!

The building is safe and secure, the pool is well hidden from the road for privacy and it comes with parking! Oh, and a lift. The grocery store (it’s a basic one) is about 4 blocks away and will get you enough for a day or two, but make your way into the city centre if you’re looking to stock up a bit.

Looking for an awesome grocery store in Australia? Check out Woolworths – they’re the best! So much so that I’ll probably bring them up a lot. From some of the most delicious gluten free cookies (their own Woolworths brand) and decent prices, it’s worth the visit.

Okay, back to the suites at North Cove – it’s so clean!

The room was big just for the two of us – but it was so nice to have a separate sleeping area.

Check out our view from the balcony – we had breakfast out here each morning with birds chirping, so fun.

All in all, it’s a great place to stay if you’re in Cairns for a bit. The walk to the terminal is about 30 minutes along the beautiful Esplanade – worth checking out for sure.
