Travel: Toronto Snapshot 2025
Toronto snapshot 2025! We were in Canada’s largest city earlier this past week for a quick visit – we celebrated a milestone accomplishment and then spent the rest of the time eating, seeing a musical, and people watching. We last visited Toronto back in 2023 and we visited much of the same restaurants – hey, when they’re good, they’re good! Okay, let’s check out Toronto.
Toronto Snapshot 2025
First up, we headed a little outside of Toronto, yet still very much a part of the GTA – greater Toronto area – to Brantford. The home of Wayne Gretzky. Oh, and we for sure stopped at the Whole Foods in Oakville. I miss having access to a Whole Foods.
While we were in Brantford we celebrated a graduation (yahoo!) and ate at some delicious restaurants. Oh, and we watched a lot of Slow Horses – have you seen it?! It’s good, like really good.
Brantford Restaurants
Both places were good, authentic, and well reviewed. If we lived in Brantford, we’d most defiantly visit again!
In Toronto, we had Thai food for lunch, Mexican for dinner, and caught MJ the Musical in-between – a perfect Wednesday!
Toronto Restaurants
First up, Khao San Road – this place is good. Full of spice and authentic Thai food. The Pad Thai is a must. I got the 3 flavours, and it was good. Extra chili oil on the side, yes, please!
For dinner, we visited Quetzal for the second time. It’s a Michelin star restaurant featuring fire roasted Mexican food. We sat at the chef’s counter and had an amazing time. From the freshness to the char, dining at Quetzal is simply so much fun.
Dinner was so much fun – I’m not sure if you’ve ever sat at a chef’s counter, yet if you get the chance, take it! Especially if you’re a party of 2.
Well, there you have it, our quick little trip to Toronto to celebrate a very big accomplishment!
Have an awesome weekend – see you again soon.
