Travel: Hima Boutique Siem Reap
Hima Boutique Siem Reap is a delightful hotel with welcoming staff and a cooling pool. It’s fairly inexpensive – we paid about $29.00 Canadian per night and stayed 3 nights. Oh, and free breakfast, which is awesome. Fried rice with a sunny side up egg is a great way to start the day. If only I could make fried rice like that. Location The Hima Boutique is located on Taphul Street and is outside of the hustle and bustle of Pub Street or the ‘downtown’…

Travel: 3 Days in Siem Reap
Three Days in Siem Reap Three days in Siem Reap are some of the best on our whole 23 day trip to Southeast Asia. Seeing temples, swimming in the hotel pool, cooking lessons, and riding bikes. Oh, and eating some of the most delicious food! Like really delicious food. Three days in Siem Reap is enough time, yet don’t spend much less time here. In all honesty, I could have spent 5 days here riding my bike and eating fried rice with a fried egg…

All in all, I think the extra work of hemming…

Movie Treats – Candy
Movie treats – candy. That’s right, it’s candy time. Oh, and most of it is gluten free, so that’s a bonus. In mid-August my brother and his wife visited us in Edmonton and it was so much fun. Hiking, shopping, corn mazes and escape rooms (we got out!!) just to mention a few highlights. One of the best parts, they got us a GC to the Keg so last Sunday we decided to have a little date night. Off to the movies to see War…

Leg warmers is this weeks sewing tutorial as part of the 52 weeks of sewing. It’s time for fall and it’s time to stay warm! On Friday I was at an event, outside, for about 6 hours and I used my knit leg warmers – they are grey – and I found myself thinking, I want white ones! Well, here we have some sweatshirt sewn white leg warmers, just in time for fall. Also, Yogalife started a early morning yoga pass, so I’m going to…
