Travel: Victoria and Albert Museum
The Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Oh my goodness, this place is massive and so awesome! Jewelry, furniture, and dinnerware were my favourite exhibits – and photography. Silly me, I initially thought that the museum would be all about Victoria and Albert. We really like them and enjoy watching Victoria on PBS – such a great show. So, in looking back, I should have put it together – they loved of the arts, thus an epic museum to hold all items that are representative…

Travel: Michelin House
Michelin House is the home to Claude Bosi’s restaurant, Bibendum and it’s worth the visit. The building, the stained glass, and the atmosphere are all in balance with the service, and the food. Oh, the food! Classically French dishes served in a modern and thoughtful way is what Bibendum is about. I’m not usually a chatty with the server when we’re at restaurants – Bryce and I enjoy each other’s company and we usually know what to expect. Yet here, there were so many new…

Travel: Sea Life Aquarium
Sea Life Aquarium is one of London’s best sights. Seriously. We love our aquariums – we’ve been to the Vancouver Aquarium, the one in Seattle, and the Shedd Aquarium, too. This one brought a whole new dynamic with it – mainly because it tied in a lot of London history (like the pollution in the Thames River). The entrance is small and down on the river walk area by the London Eye. If you’re like me and have things planned out, then buy your tickets…

Travel: Westminster Abbey

If you’re visiting London, then you should most definitely check out this historical gothic church. The tour is a bonus and I would recommend it very much. It’s the same sort of tour you’d take when you visit Westminster Palace. Handheld audio guide. Note, you can’t take any photos inside of the…

Recipe: Flat Roasted Turkey
Flat roasted turkey. What? Yes, I broke down our Thanksgiving turkey this year just like the flat roasted chicken I made this summer. Let me tell you, it’s awesome. I mean, it cooks faster and stays juicer. Ingredients 10+ pound turkey salt to taste First, make sure you’re working with a turkey that’s fully defrosted. Put it in you sink and use kitchen sheers to cut out the back bone. Grab a small knife and cut out the ribs. Then, flip the bird and try…

Recipe: Grilled Corn and Zucchini Salad
Grilled corn and zucchini salad – this salad is hearty, fresh and full of bright flavours. Plus, this dish brings some colour to your table. Let’s get cooking! Ingredients cup of arugula 3 corn on the cob 2 medium zucchini 1/2 a lemon 1 tablespoon of olive oil cup of feta cheese salt and pepper to taste First, grill your corn. I did mine on the stove and didn’t boil it first. Let it get nice and black, turning often. If you don’t turn it…
