July 4 cookies. What? Yes, it’s July 4th! Time for fireworks, right? I remember how awesome the beginning of July was were I grew up – on a small border town in Northern Ontario. Fireworks on July 1 and then fireworks 3 days later. It was like yes, summer is here!

Okay, let’s get baking.

July 4 Cookies

These are chocolate chip cookies and are the exact same as these Canada Day Cookies, except I add blue sprinkles to the red and white colours of my homeland. Check it out and get ready to celebrate July 4.

The cookies above need a bit of thought before baking – I roll them in sprinkles before they hit the sheet pan, so don’t forget that step. All the other cookies are sprinkled after baking. I’m sure you could mix the sprinkles into the cookie dough, yet this way they’re fully visible and shout – Happy July 4!!

Check thee out – both white and milk chocolate. The white chocolate cookies are sweeter yet the blue and red glass sprinkles seem more visible with the white background. With my eyes closed, I like the milk chocolate better, however, with eyes open, I like the white chocolate better.

My favourite – a bit of chocolate and sprinkles in every bite.
