Travel: Waterton Lakes National Park
Camping in Waterton Lakes National Park – here’s the scoop! Beautiful? Commercialized? Private? Waterton Lakes National Park If you’re living on the west coast of Canada I’m sure you know about all the wild fires we’ve experienced over the last few years (and are currently experiencing, actually). Well, Waterton Lakes National Park got hit pretty bad last September – over 80% of the trails were destroyed and 38% of the park went up in flames. As such, about 50% of the vegetation was lost –…

Project: Minnie the Boler After
She’s all done – here is Minnie the Boler after her renovation. This 1971 Boler is a true piece of Canadian history – and now she’s at home in California. Yes, in Cali. Minnie the Boler After I love how these adorable vintage hubcaps just pull the whole look together. Also, I love how she doesn’t have a huge vent for the fridge or for the furnace – keeps this side looking clean. The white LED license plate light – it’s all in the details.…

Project: Minnie the Boler Before
This is Minnie the Boler – she’s a 1971 (although we initially thought 1979) Canadian made fiberglass trailer. We called her Minnie because we ended up picking a Mango Sorbet colour to paint her and one of our favourite little places to grab take-away is called Mini Mango. As such, meet Minnie the Boler. Minnie the Boler Before Rough shape? Yes. We picked her up a few hours from home and although I say she’s in rough shape, she really isn’t. The body was in…

Okay, here we go! Chicago Eats Below you’ll find some photos…

Travel: Freehand Hotel Chicago
Where to stay in Chicago? You can’t beat the location of the Freehand Hotel Chicago. Seriously, it’s right in River North, about 2 blocks from Michigan Avenue and half a block from the L train. It’s an adorable place to stay, yet it’s not without some faults. I’ll share below! Freehand Hotel Chicago They are a small hipsteresque hotel chain with locations in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. Their location in Chicago looks awesome. Don’t be fooled, though – you probably wont’ get a…

Travel: Kootenay National Park
Camping season is here! We had such a great time in Kootenay National Park a couple of weeks ago. We took one of the Boler trailers we’re fixing up – Larry the Boler. I’m sure I’ll share his before and after soon. Kootenay National Park We stayed at Redstreak Campground right inside the park and it is beautiful. Full of trees, wilderness, and campfires. I’m a huge fan of campfires. We do all of our cooking over the open flame and just love it. Check…
