    Travel: Margo’s Farm

Margo’s farm – the best peaches and cherries I’ve ever had. On our recent trip to British Columbia this summer we stopped over in Fernie, BC. One of the main reasons is because we wanted to take advantage of some of the farmer’s markets along the way.  Farmer’s markets are just the best – they’re full of so much goodness and wonderful people. Cranbrook and Creston both hold markets on Saturdays in the summer. So, we left on Friday, stayed in the Boler in Fernie…

    Recipe: Easy Pumpkin Pancakes

It’s Saturday morning and it’s time for pancakes. I’ve made pumpkin pancakes before, yet these ones are sugar free and easy. By easy I mean, 7 staple ingredients some pumpkin and yogurt. Light and fluffy is the name of game when making pancakes and these are no exception. Let’s get cooking! Ingredients 1/2 cup of pumpkin 1 cup of soy milk a large egg 2 tablespoons of yogurt 1 1/4 cup of gluten free flour 2 teaspoons of baking powder 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda…

    Project: 1978 Boler After

After racing down to Lethbridge to buy the original 1978 Boler we had a lot of time to talk about how we wanted to fix it up – what to keep (the double bunk), what to get rid of (those orange curtains) and what to add (a toilet). The process of discussing and planning is just about as much fun as the doing. All in all, we love how it turned out. Check out these photos of our 1978 Boler project. If you want to…

    Project: 1978 Boler Before

This is our 1978 Boler Project. It was a snowy Sunday morning and the plan was to hangout around the house and then head to the movies to see John Wick 2. Bryce was sitting at the counter while I was making a late breakfast, early lunch. Ali! There’s a Boler for sale in Lethbridge and it’s awesome. Call him! What? Call him now and tell him we’ll buy it. Okay! Bryce called and within about 3 minutes it was decided, we were not going…

    Travel: Going-to-the-Sun Road 2.0

Going-to-the-Sun Road 2.0. Yes – we fully completed the famous road heading through Glacier National Park. Last year we only completed 13.5 of the 50 miles. I can’t fully express how beautiful the drive is, seriously. You need to see it for yourself. Going-to-the-Sun Road 2.0 A bear! Yes, we saw a small grizzly cub – I didn’t get a very good shot, yet I was fully stretched out of the truck. Bryce was like “I think he’s far enough away that you could get…

Travel: Camping in Glacier National Park

It’s camping time! Last year we visited Glacier National Park in May and we had a marvellous time. So this year, we decided to go again – time to go camping in Glacier National Park. The only difference is we went in late June hoping that Going-to-the-Sun Road would be open. Luckily, it was open on our last day – that post is up next. Camping in Glacier National Park The new park sign! Our little 13 foot Boler is all set up and ready…

    Travel: 3 Days in Portland

Spending three days in Portland is one of the highlights of the year. Thus far, anyway. The city offered more than I expected and had this chill vibe where you simply felt like you could be yourself, weird and all. Let’s check out some of the posts about our recent trip to this awesome city in Oregon. Three Days in Portland First, where we stayed. This beautiful bungalow was our second VRBO experience and we learned a lot – like how we like our privacy.…
