Photos: Lily's 9th Birthday — 3ten

It’s Lily’s 9th Birthday! Well, it was on January 18, 2018. She’s a Great Dane who is full of spunk and excited to turn 9. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably already seen these, yet they’re too good not to share here, too. Let’s check out the past year for Lily!

I remember back in June, when we were in Glacier National Park in Montana with Lily, a lady came up to us and just started hugging Lily. Her Great Dane was at home and too unwell to travel. I asked how old she was – 9 said the lady. Later on when Bryce and I were by the fire I got excited – do you think Lily could live to be 9??!!? Neither of us thought it would be possible, yet here she is, a 9 year old happy Great Dane. Who, I should mention, travelled to BC this past weekend.

She is flat out one of the greatest dogs (Bella was awesome, too). The neatest part about Lily is how much she loves being the centre of attention. We didn’t ever really know this until she became our only dog, yet she likes the spotlight. Here are 9 photos of Lily over the past year – it was a great one.

The Past Year

The photos above was taken on Thursday morning, the day this pup turned nine and in true Great Dane fashion, she’s stretching and being bashful.

Below, Lily and all her stuffies. She is ridiculously spoiled.

Rice on her nose – what? I have rice on my nose? She didn’t eat one day in July so we gave her some rice – hoping it would entice her to eat. Well, it did and after looking at us the next meal, like ‘ah, where’s my rice?’ we’ve been giving it to her ever since.

Overall, the past year with Lily has been so much fun. We hit up Dairy Queen yesterday to celebrate this one of a kind pup! Thanks to all of you who love her and love all dogs – dogs are the best, aren’t they?!
