Recipe: Homemade Reeses Bars
Who doesn’t love Resse’s Peanut Butter Cups? With Halloween right around the corner, these homemade Reeses bars are a wonderful treat to make and eat while you watch “it’s the great pumpkin patch, Charlie Brown!”
This recipe is no bake, which is awesome.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of melted salted butter
- 2 cups of honey graham cracker crumbs
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cups of powdered sugar
- 1 cup of smooth peanut butter
- a tablespoon of vanilla
- 2 – 2 1/2 cups of chocolate chips
First – gather all of your ingredients.
Mix together the first 6 ingredients – ensure that all ingredients are well incorporated.
Now, spoon out the mixture onto a cookie sheet that has an edge. While you’re doing that, melt the chocolate chips in either a double boiler (this is what I recommend) or in the microwave at half the power. Be careful not to burn them.
Now, pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter mixture. Work quickly and spread it all around.
Let them sit in the fridge for 2 hours. Take out and cut.
Now eat.
Eat another…they are so good!
Make them organic by using all organic ingredients…oh, and watch your favourite Halloween cartoon.
Enjoy the weekend.
