Recipe: Rice Pasta with Tomato and Garlic Sauce
This dish seems too simply and the kind of thing you’d make when you’re too lazy to go to the grocery store, however, it’s so good great. I first made this dish after my roommate in university made it – she got it from her boy friend’s mom. It’s simply and the kind of think you can keep your pantry stocked with. Let’s get cooking rice pasta with tomato and garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 bag of penne (I used rice pasta, thus it’s gluten free)
- 4 cloves of garlic, chopped or pressed
- 1 large can of tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of oregano
First – gather your ingredients.
The can of tomatoes can be whole (then you can dice them up) or already diced. You pick.
Next – put the oil in a pan and add in the pressed garlic and heat until it begins to brown. Then, add in the diced tomatoes and let them cook for about 10 minutes.
Cook your pasta according to the directions – set aside.
After about 10 minutes, add in the oregano and let simmer for 4 minutes. Add in the pasta.
Done!
Now eat up and try not to eat it all.
Also, it makes delicious leftovers.
Happy Friday – see you again soon.
