Sewing: NFL Game Day Pillows
Sundays are for football!
These pillows will give your game day some pizzaz and show your team support. Let’s sew up these NFL game day pillows.
Using my standard pillow case tutorial, this one is very similar.
What You Need
- fabric – displaying your favourite team
- matching thread
- 18 inch zipper
- machine
First – get your fabric. If you don’t live close to your favourite team, you’ll most likely have to order the team print online. For this project I used 2 types of fabric. One, the fluffy side is blanket material and the other side is a mix of cotton and quilting cotton. Use what works for you. If you want to use all blanket material, go for it. I wanted each side to be a bit different, thus giving more styling options.
This Steelers fabric is from Jo Ann’s fabric – they carry teams that are in and around their surrounding area. I got this at a store in Ohio. In Dallas, you’ll probably only find the Cowboys fabric.
You’ll need two pieces of fabric for each pillow that measure 20.5 inches by 21.5 inches. Then, install the zipper. Check out the full tutorial for step by step directions.
Once you’re done, you’ve got the perfect game day accessory!
Go team, go!!
Snuggle up and get ready for the NFL season. Who is your team?!
