Sewing: Paddington Bear Baby Set
Paddington Bear baby set! Why? …because my sweet cousin is having a baby boy! Time to sew up, again.
Paddington Bear Baby Set
For this gift set I made 3 pieces of 3 different things:
- burp cloths
- diaper covers
- baby bibs
Get some cute fabric! You’ll need about 1/2 a yard of each fabric.
Cut out the diaper covers. I did one in each size.
For the bib, I made a template by tracing a bib from a friend (but be sure to add a bit of extra for the seam allowance). Then, you can just keep that template to make many more.
For the bibs, serge with right sides together, leaving a small hole to turn right side out.
Then, top stitch, closing up the hole.
For the diaper covers, serge with right sides together the bottom and the sides. Then, create a casing, leaving a small open space to put the elastic in. Top stitch once elastic is inserted.
Make one of each out of each fabric. So festive!
Don’t forget the details.
Or your label.
Burp cloths are always in need when you’re a new mom.
This little bear is just the cutest, isn’t he?
Done.
Pack up nicely and you’ve got yourself a sweet little shower gift.
