Project: My Ole Lady the Boler After

It’s done – and sold, yet the work we did on My Ole Lady the Boler is beautiful. Check it out – bright red accents with a light and bright interior. So fun. Oh, and if you haven’t seen the before, you should check that out first; it’s cool to see how much this lady has transformed. My Ole Lady the Boler After We took this shabby paint job, sandpaper, and a lot of time and turned it into a fun little camper. She’s ready…

    Travel: Banff National Park

Banff National Park is beautiful. It’s not very far from our house at just under 4 hours which makes for a nice half day drive. Here we are, heading down the driveway – all packed up in Scobby Doo the Boler (yes, he needs some work!). Banff National Park Okay – here’s the best part – we got a campsite right on the water. Yes! Elk Island National Park. Camping! Yes – we went camping again. This is our fourth trip of the season and we’ve got two more left. I’m excited since fall camping is beautiful. Camping in Waterton Lakes National Park – here’s the scoop! Beautiful? Commercialized? Private? Waterton Lakes National Park If you’re living on the west coast of Canada I’m sure you know about all the wild fires we’ve experienced over the last few years (and are currently experiencing, actually). Well, Waterton Lakes National Park got hit pretty bad last September – over 80% of the trails were destroyed and 38% of the park went up in flames. As such, about 50% of the vegetation was lost –…

    Travel: Kootenay National Park

Camping season is here! We had such a great time in Kootenay National Park a couple of weeks ago. We took one of the Boler trailers we’re fixing up – Larry the Boler. I’m sure I’ll share his before and after soon. Kootenay National Park We stayed at Redstreak Campground right inside the park and it is beautiful. Full of trees, wilderness, and campfires. I’m a huge fan of campfires. We do all of our cooking over the open flame and just love it. Check…

    Travel: Prince Albert National Park

Prince Albert National Park because it’s time for camping! Yes, Waskesiu in Saskatchewan is beautiful. It’s a little far from us, being about 7 hours towing, yet worth the visit. We took Tipsy, our 1972 Boler, on this trip. Okay, let’s get camping. Prince Albert National Park We set up camp in no time. Takes us about 20-30 minutes total from the time we find our site until we’re set up and ready to relax. Last year we got the 10×10 canopy tent since we…
