Travel: Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum
The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum is a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours. The art, the history, and the fun! It’s a delight. Check out some impactful pieces that make you head tilt to one side in wonder. We visited the Tokyo Met after the Ueno Zoo – did both, along with the Sensō-ji before a late lunch. Travel: Museum of Tropical Queensland
Museum of Tropical Queensland is a highlight in Townsville. Bryce and I love the science area of museums and this one doesn’t disappoint! Plus, we heard the story of the great ship shown above. Worth checking out the exhibits if you’re looking to cool down for an afternoon. Museum of Tropical Queensland The price for the museum is quite reasonable at $15.00 a person, however their hours are only until 4pm each day. As such, be sure to plan out when you might want to…

Travel: Muse Soumaya
Museo Soumaya is a must see in Mexico City. This place is huge, free, and one museum you won’t want to miss. We spent about 2 hours here and I could have easily spent about 3-4, yet I’d need a lot of snacks. If you’ve never heard of the Museo Soumaya I’m sure you’ve seen the building, right? Those hexagons are iconic! The building is huge and there are 7 levels, including the entrance – it’s a deceptive building. Okay, let’s check out some photos!…

Travel: Museo Jumex
Museo Jumex is a free (yes, free!) museum in Mexico City. It’s beautiful, full of open spaces, and worth visiting if you’re a lover of lines, art, and architecture. We spent about 60 minutes in the museum, the exhibits are huge and my favourite part was the outdoor balconies. Okay, let’s check out some photos! First, I want to share this staircase. There are elevators, and do suggest you take one, they’re massive. I think they only have one set of elevators and they use…

Palacio De Bellas Artes is an iconic building and museum in the heart of Mexico City. Enjoy the large parks, the paintings, and the people watching – be sure to check it out if you’re ever in CDMX. We stopped by on a Monday, and then again on a Wednesday and both times it was closed. Luckily for us, we saw all the paintings on the Thursday. Plus, it’s only a 20 minute walk from the Hotel Emporio and the stroll through the park is…

Travel: Anthropology National Museum
Anthropology National Museum is a must see in Mexico City. There is a market just outside the entrance, so it’s a busy area! The wait to get in was about 30 minutes, yet it’s nice to people watch and take in the atmosphere. Okay, let’s check out some photos. Anthropology National Museum A couple of tips – don’t try and cut in line, it doesn’t work out well. Secondly, don’t put your feet (even cross your legs and sit on them) on the benches –…
