Travel: Airlie Beach Eco Cabins
Airlie Beach Eco Cabins is the best place to stay if you’re in the area, especially if you’re looking for some time to relax and enjoy nature. The grounds are adult only, so no one under 25, and it’s a bit off the path, so you’ll most certainly need a car. With that, however, it’s worth it. The cozy cabins are delightfully decorated and have everything you need. Okay, let’s check out some photos!
Airlie Beach Eco Cabins
These sweet cabins are bookable on their website, a little piece of nature. We stayed in the Wallaby Cabin with it’s modern and eco design. The cold water in the fridge was a nice welcome!
It’s a simple layout, but functional and works well. The high ceilings help with airflow and sleeping in nature was like being at home – so awesome.
The bathroom is at the back, along with a lot of extra linens. Laundry is also on site, just in a little hut about 40 feet away. Oh, and they have a shared BBQ site, too. We took advantage of the BBQ, although just a note that it gets dark early in November!
The water pressure is something I was concerned about, being an eco cabin, especially since this two night stay fell on hair wash day. Fret not, the water pressure is fantastic!
A highlight of the stay are the cockatoos that come out to feed around 3pm. The owner puts out a little seed for them and they flock over – the brush turkey, however, can be a bit bossy – he chases them away. We saw some wild wallabies, some kangaroos, and a handful of different birds. It’s fun to just sit and enjoy nature.
If you’re ever in the Airlie Beach area and are looking for a place to stay, check out the Eco Cabins – you’ll enjoy a bit of rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle.
Thanks for stopping by – see you again soon.
