Travel: Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa in Dubai – it’s currently the worlds tallest structure and has held the title since 2009. Wild, eh? We visited on our first day in Dubai – getting a sense of the city from way up high is quite cool. At The Top is located in the Dubai Mall and it’s a little tricky to find, so be sure to give yourself a few extra moments if you’ve bought a time entry ticket.

Okay, let’s check out some photos!

We defiantly recommend purchasing tickets beforehand – the line wasn’t long when we visited shortly after 9am, however, when we left around 10:30ish, the line was packed! The nice thing is, they have a lot of displays for you to check out as you wait in line.

Okay, here’s the view from the top! Check it out.

Okay, a few more photos of the heights. I didn’t expect so many buildings for a country that’s so new. The infrastructure is incredible.

It’s the desert, so understandable that there isn’t much greenery around – not like we saw in Japan. Also, since it’s the desert, the haziness is a bit expected.

When you’re in the Dubai Mall, you’re looking for the glass wall that’s branded with At The Top – and, don’t forget to venture outside to get a shot of the Burj Khalifa from outside, in all its glory.

Thanks for stopping by – venturing to the top of observation decks is one of my travelling must do items – what’s on your must do list while travelling? Eats?! We love food, too. Some of our top travel memories are focused around food. Let me tell you that the food in Dubai didn’t disappoint – yet more on that next month.

Wishing you happy travels!
