Travel: Cafe in Sarina
This cafe in Sarina is one of the best food experiences I’ve had! If you’re ever travelling south of Cape Hillsborough in Queensland, Australia, be sure to check out the Roots Collective – you’ll be happy you did!
Okay – I found this place on Google Maps of all places. We were leaving Cape Hillsborough for Kinka Beach and needed a place to stop for lunch. After looking in Sarina, the halfway point, I stumbled across this sweet place – it wasn’t the Roots Collective, though. It was the Third Ground – a coffee shop with some stellar eats. They closed down at the end of 2022 and opened up Roots in 2023 – same awesome food, though. Okay, let’s check out our eats!
Cafe in Sarina
First up, coffee and the menu!
I had the schnitzel burger and Bryce had the veggie burger. It was the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Perhaps it was because I was so hungry, or it had been a while since I’d had awesome gluten free food (not cooked by me, of course!), but either way, the food memory rings true. It’s worth the stop!
Here are some up close photos of our lunch.
Good food is so good for the soul, don’t you think?!
Check out this cute little place.
Well, there you have it – a little cafe in Sarina! Be sure to stop at sweet little places that have awesome Google reviews – your fellow foodies are looking out for you!
Happy eating! I just love food, it’s like awesome fuel to power you onward! Plus, don’t those sweet potato fries just look like perfection?! So good. Okay, time for me to find a local fried chicken sandwich, gluten free and all, that most likely own’t live up to this one. Wish me luck!
Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you again soon!
